Acupuncture to enhance sports performance

Acupuncture have been utilised for many decades by the Chinese for enhancing sports performance in athletes. There is an increasing amount of research outlining the positive effect of acupuncture on human performance.  This has led to a greater understanding of the underlying mechanism and physiological effects of acupuncture. Enhancing muscle strength, oxygen uptake, recovery heart rate, reduction of delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) and reduction in pre-event anxiety and improved concentration during sports can all be improved with the use of acupuncture. Acupuncture already have a long history of helping athletes (particularly in the Beijing and the 2012 London UK Olympics) reach the best possible condition pre-Olympic and pre-event, as well as helping them recover faster following competition.

If you are involved in endurance sports (triathlons, marathons, cycling, swimming) or explosive   sports (sprinting, football, rugby) and want to improve your performance (speed, strength and cardiorespiratory) we have extensive experience working with elite athletes and know exactly what it takes to support an athlete to the top of their game. We have had experience in using acupuncture to enhance various aspects of sports performance and working with national and international athletes to help them reach their full potential and give them the edge over their competitors. Steve Bailey has published a number of research papers in conjunction Coventry and Middlesbrough university with regards to the use of acupuncture to enhance human performance in sports. The results from our studies have shown significantly positive effect in the use of acupuncture to enhance concentration, muscle strength, cardiorespiratory function, lactate removal, and reduce delayed onset muscle soreness.
